Scoring Rules

Simple, transparent scoring – no surprises.

Score to Par

Your pool score is the combined to-par score of all your golfer picks. The participant with the lowest total score wins.

Example

Tier 1: Scheffler

–6

Tier 2: Spieth

–2

Tier 3: Scott

–1

Tier 4: Couples

Total

–9

Missed Cut Penalty

Golfers who miss the cut receive their score at the cut line plus an 8-stroke penalty. This makes the cut a meaningful part of strategy – picking a safe golfer who makes the cut can beat a risky pick who doesn’t.

Example

Golfer misses the cut at +4 → Final score: +4 + 8 = +12

Withdrawals

WD before R1:Treated as a missed cut – the golfer receives a +8 penalty as if they missed the cut at even par.
WD during play:The golfer’s score at the time of withdrawal stands. No additional penalty is applied.

Tiebreaker

If two or more participants have the same total score, the tie is broken by the lowest single round score across all of a participant’s picks. The participant whose golfer posted the lowest individual round wins the tiebreaker.

Example

Alice’s best round: 67 (Scheffler, R1)
Bob’s best round: 68 (McIlroy, R3)
Alice wins the tiebreaker.
